Do I need my own gear?
We provide all the gear you need, including rods, flies, and terminal tackle. If you have your own gear, you're welcome to bring it, but it's not required.
Do I need prior fishing experience?
No. Trips and lessons are designed for all skill levels, from complete beginner to advanced. If it's your first time, we start with the fundamentals and build from there.
Where do the sessions take place?
Casting Instruction and the Casting + Entomological Education session take place on private property along Oak Creek in Sedona. Fly Fishing Fundamentals is held on the tailwater at Sedona's Rainbow Trout Farm. Oak Creek Canyon day trips run on Oak Creek.
Are lessons suitable for beginners?
Yes — that's the point. Every session is structured and education-first, so a first-timer and an experienced angler can both take something home.
Can I book a larger group or corporate session?
Guided trips take up to 4 anglers — groups of 3 or more fish with two guides. Instruction groups are normally capped at 3. For anything bigger, we offer tailored packages for corporate groups, public events, and private group instruction. Contact us to arrange one.
Can children participate?
Yes, with a participating adult. Reach out before booking so we can match the session to your group.
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 30 or more days before the trip receive a 50% refund. Within 30 days of the trip, bookings are non-refundable. That said, we know emergencies happen — if something unexpected comes up, reach out and we'll work with you. If we cancel for unsafe weather or unforeseen circumstances, you'll be refunded or rescheduled at no cost. Full details are in our Policy & Liability Statement.
